Augmented Reality Tip #202

This is the lobby entrance from one of our favorite places on earth, Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. This specific hotel is rather big, and not only is it confusing enough to navigate through a new country, but so is navigating through a new hotel. After all, all we want to do is head straight to the beach. How can one maximize time relaxing as opposed to navigating? Easy, through Augmented Reality. Imagine going to any hotel, taking out your phone, and all the key interest places are pointed out to you.

Augmented Reality Tip # 2

Here’s another possible use for Augmented Reality…Real Estate. Imagine logging in to Zillow.Com for your iPhone (or other mediocre device) as you drive around a neighborhood. Through the view window of your phone, you’ll see information about the home: price, square footage, year built, whether or not someone was buried there. Most important of all, a link to “buy this house now.”

We’re happy to see more and more people coming on board the Augmented Reality train. It’s going to be an interesting ride to say the least. I can’t wait for everyone to be walking around with a phone in front of their face.
Check out what we’ve found regarding this great new technology.
